Out of the Abundance of the Heart the Mouth Speaks

Being pro-choice and saying that homosexuality is not a sin is incompatible with the teachings of Jesus. Anybody who holds these views and any other view that is contrary to God's commands should not consider themselves Christian.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.
Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore the Lord’s anger burns against His people; His hand is raised and He strikes them down. (Isaiah 5:20-25)
That being said, it seems that there is an epidemic of people, who seemingly should know better, supporting things that God forbids. The scary part is that they still confident they are following Christ (a.k.a Christian). This truly is a failure of the church. It is fine for people to believe differently and live as they want to live, but they need to know that God as revealed by Jesus condemns them. The church seems to have a fundamental misunderstanding about what it means to believe and lacks the boldness to define it clearly.

Believing in Jesus is not equivalent to saying the "sinner's prayer," although it can undoubtedly be part of it. This is the same thing as saying baptism saves you, which it clearly doesn't, but can also be part of it. Words can be said just as easily as taking a bath.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.(Rom. 10:9-10)
The mouth represents the outward display (i.e. actions) of what we believe truly in our heart. These cannot be separated. If you are willing to accept that the sinner's prayer is representative of someones' heart, then you must also accept that verbal support of evil is an indication as well. One sentence or even a speech is not adequate to determine definitively what is in the heart, it is their whole life. Everybody who gets married says they love their spouse on their wedding day, but not all do; Demonstrated by divorce and abuse in relationships. They said the words, but they didn't mean them. They may have thought they did at the time, but their life shows differently.

This argument cuts both ways, but for most Christians it is a one-way street. Once someone says the sinner's prayer they are considered saved regardless of their life. We need to take their other words just as seriously as well. It is time for Christians to stop bearing false witness about salvation and start challenging those who are saying that God is wrong. It may not stop the flood of people denying Christ but at least they will know that is what they are doing.
