Christian Feminism

The definition of feminism according to google is "the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men." There can be no doubt that the feminism that we see in the world has also infiltrated the church. If we tweaked this definition slightly for Christian feminism it would be the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of submission, leadership, and teaching equality to men.

A women's submission to her husband is ultimately submission to God. Conversely, a women who does not submit to her husband is not submitting to God. The caveat is that a women cannot submit to something that is sinful, since she is in the end submitting to God. A wife cannot say she submits to God if she does not submit to her husband in the Lord. This principle can be found in 1 John 4:20.
If anyone says, "I love God" and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
Leadership is not an antonym of submission, since a person can lead by submission. Also, leadership does not depend on a person's abilities but on the appointment of God.
For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. (Rom. 13:1-2).
Teaching is a dangerous occupation and those who take it lightly are headed for judgment.
Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness (James 3:1).
It is clear that equality in the worldly sense is not part of God's design with regards to Christian feminism, but that does not mean they are not equal in God's eyes.

Men and women are equal in God's eyes when it comes to salvation. In Galatians 3:28 we read,
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
The roles of men and women are of equal value as demonstrated by the comparison to the relationship between the Father and the Son. In 1 Corinthians 11:3 we read,
But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
The only way we will get back to God's equality is if both men and women submit to God. This is what God tells us what to do.
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Saviour. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her.
